AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Daniel,

This is a really helpful tool, thanks! I wanted to clarify the L/R issue when using AFNI as it has been a while since I've used it. My understanding is that the standard convention with the AFNI image viewer is left= right, and you can do a mirror flip, but this really only adjusts for viewing purposes only, regions displayed on the right in left=right view for example will still be described as left cortex if you use whereami. The issue this tool of yours corrects isn't related to the L/R flip image viewer, but instead, is to check if your Anat image has been flipped at some point and no longer aligns to the EPI, is that right? The L/R flip in image viewer isn't actually making any changes to the file I suppose is what I am asking. Thanks!
