AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Ruy,

From what I recall, your points are correct, that _AM*
is required for dmBLOCK, and that those cannot go
into the baseline model. The reason for the latter I
am not sure of, except that it is surely because of
where in the code the AM regressors are generated.

But to flip it around, why do you really care to put
them in the baseline mode? The only effects of
that would be:

1. the Full_Fstat would include them (not the partials)

2. the default would be to give output volumes with
those betas and stats

It seems likely that you do not care about 1, and
it seems likely that you might actually prefer 2,
i.e. seeing the results.

So would you please clarify why you want them
in the baseline model?

Thanks,

- rick
