AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Daniel

I've also got OS Sierra and although I'm not attempting to add suma I've had some issues with home brew/getting things set up for afni as well.

I tried the "brew install cartr/qt4/qt" as suggested. It took its time but seems not everything is viable. Followed up with the "brew link qt" as the output recommended - it wasn't writeable.

I know this is likely just a lag time issue between Sierra just coming out and some patches but just wanted to get any feedback as to whether I was on the right track for attempted fixes.

Thanks!

Laura

This formula is keg-only, which means it was not symlinked into /usr/local.

Apple has deprecated use of OpenSSL in favor of its own TLS and crypto libraries

Generally there are no consequences of this for you. If you build your
own software and it requires this formula, you'll need to add to your
build variables:

LDFLAGS: -L/usr/local/opt/openssl/lib
CPPFLAGS: -I/usr/local/opt/openssl/include

You can try again using:
brew link qt
==> Caveats
We agreed to the Qt opensource license for you.
If this is unacceptable you should uninstall.

Qt Designer no longer picks up changes to the QT_PLUGIN_PATH environment
variable as it was tweaked to search for plug-ins provided by formulae in
/usr/local/lib/qt4/plugins

Phonon is not supported on macOS Sierra or with Xcode 8.

.app bundles were installed.
