AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Greetings Dear AFNIstas--

With the advent of @SSWarper in addition to some tricks with zero-padding and centering that you've kindly provided, the quality of alignment between our BOLD and anatomical data has improved dramatically. The approaches you've provided are also robust. For data from a 1500-subject, 15-site data consortium with which we collaborate, data from 13 of 15 sites went from average Dice coeffs of ~0.78 to ~0.92. Really nice. This is not to mention even greater improvements in Dice coeffs for warped anatomical to template.

We wonder, then, if you might have suggestions for how we might improve alignment in our two straggler sites? Perhaps there is something instructive in these deviants that might help further improve the techniques you've provided? If you can provide us with an upload link, we'll be happy to share from each site a representative subject's data in addition to the afni_proc script we're currently running.

Yours,

Paul
