AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear all,

I read the "Simple Correlation Analysis" introduction from AFNI here: [afni.nimh.nih.gov]. My question is if it is save to use my already preprocessed resting-state as well as task-based runs to do FC calculations via AFNI on these runs. If I do that, would it be correct to skip step 1) and 2) from the link above, since the raw runs are already preprocessed (bandpassed, nuisance regressed, etc.)? Can I directly start with my ROIs and all the rest (step 3) on)?

Or would this lead to wrong/faulty results for FC? Am I missing something else?

Thanks,
Philipp
