AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi, Bob,

Could you confirm that the suggested way is correct? In the post, you suggested the command with a multiplication for conjunction analysis.

Suppose that F statistics are greater than 5, p =.01. Since you use the multiplication, the final conjunction threshold should be 0.01*0.01 =0.0001.
3dcalc -a 'stats+orig[7]' -b 'stats+orig[11]' -expr 'step(a-5)*step(b-5)' -prefix 7_11_mask

First, the output (1) is all shown in yellow - this does not matter, anyway. But I compared it to the output in which I first generated masks for each datasets with threshold 0.0001 , then use the -expr 'step(a)+2*step(b)' - note here I use plus, rather than multiplication. The outputs are not the same as above.

Then which one should we use for the conjunction analysis?
Thanks,
J
