The desired change to 1dplot has been made. Now, if you use the new "-ps" option, a Postcript rendition of the plot is written to stdout, as in

1dplot -ps zork.1D > zork.ps

Source code is on the server now, and binaries are being compiled (available sometime this afternoon).
