AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello,

I was trying to define some ROI on the right hemisphere based on the ROI on the left hemisphere. That is, I created a mask with some clusters (whose coordinate was, say, x, y, z) on the left hemisphere, and would like to create another mask whose ROI has the coordinate of (-x, y, z). Is there an easy way to do this?

I have explored 3dedit and 3dcala, but these commands only seem to change the intensity but not the coordinate. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks a lot!

Denise

By the way, has anyone used the plug-in "hemi-substract"? I pressed the "help" button, but the one-line message is not very helpful. I assume what it does is to subtract the intensity of the right hemisphere from that of the left hemisphere. However, what will be the output of this command? An activation map with both hemispheres with the difference shown on the left (or the right, or both) hemisphere? Am I missing something here?
