AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

I am using 3dfractionize to downsample ROI masks drawn as fim datasets on high-res SPGR anatomical datasets to the resolution of my EPI datasets.

I am using the command line
3dfractionize -template EPIsequence+orig -prefix EPImask -input SPGRmask -preserve

where the template is the EPI timeseries, the input is the ROI mask drawn on the high-res SPGRs.

As I understood it, a dataset, thats already in the same grid format as the template should be left untouched by 3dfractionize, shouldn't it?

Because when repeating the command on the same dataset like
3dfractionize -template EPIsequence+orig -prefix EPImask2 -input EPImask -preserve

EPImask2 is a dilated version of EPImask.
Could you please explain?

Another question:
What's the command line equivalent to the plugin-routine DataSet Copy of a SPGR dataset into one fim dataset with one subbrick (and the same grid)?
(which I use for generating the ROI mask datasets from the SPGR datasets).

Thanks a lot!
