AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

You must be using KDE, Gnome, or some other Linux window manager that does not properly respect X11 protocol hints. You can partially fix this by setting the Unix environment variable AFNI_ENFORCE_ASPECT to YES. Details can be found in the file [afni.nimh.nih.gov], including various instructions on how to set environment variables so that AFNI will see them.

In general, this file (README.environment) is a very useful file for users to peruse. You can affect the appearance and operation of AFNI in many ways by setting environment variables.
