AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi --

In using the following commandline:

3drotate -prefix run1_volreg -dfile d_volreg run_1+orig

the resulting file has a number of zero-ed out subbricks (no data). The lines from the d_volreg file for 2 of the offending subbricks are:

164 -0.004 -0.002 -0.002 0.037 -0.031 -0.033 94.16 92.64
165 -0.004 0.003 -0.001 0.077 -0.031 0.018 95.23 91.16

We tried applying just these 2 transformations to other functional data, and got the same result - blank subbricks. We found this for afni version 2.51e and 2.40e (linux). These parameters aren't drastically different from any of the others in the d_volreg file. Across multiple subjects and runs, this is occurring sporadically, for maybe 2 or 3 bricks per 200 in a file.

Any thoughts on why this is occuring would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex
