Hi Lydia,
The output shows that you are actually running version 2.24a.
That means the new version that you downloaded is either not
in your path, or comes after the old directory in your path.
First, find out the location of the afni program that you are
currently running with the command "which afni".
Depending on whether that is under your home directory, you
will then either need to remove that directory from your path,
or, if you own it, simply move the new binaries into that
directory (over-writing the old ones).
Updating your path should be done in your .cshrc file (or
.bashrc file, if you are using that shell).
