AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello Michael:

I believe this is related to a problem reported by Frank Haist; see
[afni.nimh.nih.gov]

Program 3dFDR reads in the entire bucket dataset. Non-statistical
sub-bricks are copied directly to the output, without modification. Only
statistical sub-bricks are converted to the corresponding FDR z-scores.

However, a recent change to the software (RWC: 06 Feb 2003) made it impossible
for 3dFDR to determine which are the statistical sub-bricks, and which
are the non-statistical sub-bricks. Therefore, you may have to use the
sub-brick selector ('[]') to select only the statistical sub-bricks for
processing by 3dFDR.

Also, note that partial F values can be mapped to zero z-scores if the corresponding
FDR q-values are 1.0. Using a mask may help improve the statistical power.
