AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello,

I am interested in modeling brain activations immediately preceding a button press the subject makes under COndition A versus under condition B, where the timing of presses is at the discretion of the subject.

I know that waver can make an idealized waveform for regression by referring to a source file with a single column of zeroes, 1 and -1 for TRs corresponding to contrasting events, and that the -tstim option in waver can refer to a text file containing a single column of cumulative event times to generate the irregular idealized waveform.

My question is, how do I combine the two techniques, to create a single idealized regressor source file for 3dDeconvolve which models specific irregular event times of condition A as positive deviations but specific irregular event times of condition B as negative?
