AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Cathy,

What you have suggested sounds right to me.

Thresh should be the sub-brik that contains the statistical measure, t- r- F-. Func should be the sub-brik that contains the associatied coefficient (coef, diff, contrast, R^2, etc). Then the slider will correspond to the t-statistic and the coloring of the voxels will be based on the associated coefficient.

If this is still difficult to understand, you could start by assigning the Thresh and Func both to the statistical measure. Then the slider and voxel coloring are both based on the statistical measure.

Remember, you only see what the slider lets you see. If the slider lets you see a voxel, the color bar determines its color.

hope this helps,

-jim
