AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

The Department of Psychology at the University of Georgia (http://www.uga.edu/psychology/) is seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2004. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in Psychology or Neuroscience (broadly defined) and an established research program employing human functional brain imaging (using EEG, MEG, and/or fMRI). The candidate will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate training and establish an externally funded research program. The area of specialization is open to facilitate recruitment of the best candidate. Cross-disciplinary interests that will substantially contribute to Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, or Social Psychology are particularly desirable.

The University of Georgia has made a significant investment in infrastructure to support human brain imaging research. Established infrastructure in the Psychology department includes an EGI 256-channel EEG system and a CTF 143-channel whole-head MEG system (http://www.uga.edu/psychology/ccnl/). In February 2005, these facilities will join a new 9000 square foot research-dedicated Brain Imaging Center in the Coverdell Center for Biomedical and Health Sciences (http://www.biomed.uga.edu/) on the UGA campus. This facility also will house a research-dedicated 3T GE MRI scanner for functional and structural brain imaging. Currently, fMRI research is done at a facility near campus using a 1.5T GE scanner.

Please send a letter of application describing research and teaching interests, a curriculum vita, reprints/preprints, and names and email addresses of at least three references to: Chair, Psychology Search Committee, Dept. of Psychology, University of Georgia, Athens, GA, 30602-3013. In addition, please arrange to have at least three letters of recommendation sent directly to the above address. The University of Georgia is an EEO/Affirmative Action institution, and women and ethnic minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications received by December 1, 2003, are assured full consideration.
