I'm sure that AFNI will work on Fedora. It is crafted to be easily portable between Unix systems -- it runs on Sun Solaris, SGI IRIX, Mac OS X, FreeBSD, and several variants of Linux. Fedora will require probably no changes at all. The components you must have to compile AFNI are
- gcc (or other ISO/ANSI compliant C compiler)
- X11 system development kit (headers and libraries)
- Motif headers and libraries (e.g., OpenMotif)
To use plugins, you also need
- a dynamic library loader (e.g., dlcompat on Mac OS X)
To compile and run SUMA, you also need
- OpenGL headers and libraries
- working OpenGL driver implemented inside the X11 server
These things are now common in the Unix world.
