AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

I have smoothed an EPI session (session_80_vol+orig) made up of 80 volumes, every volume made up of 10 slices, with SPM and AFNI, with FWHM = 2mm (but also with different values, the result is the same).
The AFNI command that I used is:

3dmerge -1blur_fwhm 2 -doall -prefix smooth_session_80_vol /.../session_80_vol+orig

Why in the AFNI smoothed data (smooth_session_80_vol+orig) I see a 'ghost' (seems the slice n.1) overlayed on the last slice (n. 10) of each volume, but with SPM smoothed data that doesn't happen?

Thanks.
Giovanni
