AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

AFNI newbie here, so bear with me:

I am starting to do an analysis on data with a TR of 2.5 using 3dDeconvolve. The stimuli, however, do not coincide with this TR (but do all occur at time points that are multiples of .5s).

Am I correct assuming that I should use the -nptr option with 3dDeconvolve?

If so, should I create stimuli files that represent the stimulus funtions at every .5 seconds and use option -stim_nptr k 5?

In terms of the analysis, apart from processing speed, does it make any difference if you represent your stimulus functions using an arbitrary division of the TR (i.e. would it matter if, instead of using 5 divisions, I opted for 10?)

Thanks--
Jane Lange
