Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Anyone using SUMA's surface computation programs
SurfaceMetrics, 3dSurf2Vol or 3dVol2Surf, should
note a new command-line requirement. This may
soon be the case for other surface-based programs
from the SUMA package, also.

In the past, the user was required to edit their
*.spec file, making sure that for any surface they
wanted the program to use, the MappingRef value was
"SAME". This is no longer the case.

Instead, the user must now provide the name of any
surface(s) used by the programs on the command line,
via "-surf_A" or "-surf_B".

Please see the updated "-help" for these programs
for examples and a description of the new parameters.
