Folks:

Bunch of clarifications needed on the use of suma to view volume data mapped to surface.

1. Is the only way to view volume data in suma by loading the volume as a functional dataset in afni (and selecting the color mapping therein)? Or does suma have stand-alone capability to do this?

2. Is there any way to load a 1D file (as produced by 3dVol2Surf) for suma to show on a surface? If so, where's this documented?

3. If using suma to view a functional dataset loaded into afni, then how do you:

a) control the same things you would use 3dVol2Surf's map_func for?

b) What things do you have to set to tell suma/afni to map using one surface but display using a different surface. For example, map using pial surface (ie: pial vertices intersected with volume's voxels) but display data on inflated surface?

c) Combination of a and b: how do you get a mapping based on midpoint between white and pial, and then have that result display on the inflated surface (for example).
