AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Lukas,

Your cases 1 and 2 are identical. Case 3 is not related.

As a test, I ran the following commands (working with
real-time generated dastaset rt.#001+orig):

case 1:

3dTshift -ignore 3 -prefix tshift rt.#001+orig.
3dvolreg -base 3 -prefix tsh.i3.vr.b3 tshift+orig.

case 2:

3dvolreg -tshift 3 -base 3 -prefix vr.b3 rt.#001+orig.

Next, to compare the results, the datasets were subtracted:

3dcalc -a tsh.i3.vr.b3+orig. -b vr.b3+orig. -expr a-b -prefix diff

** the resulting diff+orig time series was all zeros

As for case 3, using "3dDeconvolve -tshift" only corrects
the OUTPUT time series (from the '-iresp' option). It has
no affect on the input data.

I hope this helps.
