There is a new version of AFNI's matlab library (http://afni.nimh.nih.gov/sscc/staff/ziad/AFNI_MatlabLib/) which contains functions that:
- read and write AFNI data
- change between voxel coordinates or indices (ijk) and voxel mm coordinates (RAI a la AFNI)
- extract certain slices from the data using AFNI's indexing convention
In addition to the library, there is a demo archive containing test data and MatAFNI_Demo.m which is a script that illustrates the use of the library's functions.
With this new release you can run FMRISTAT (http://www.math.mcgill.ca/keith/fmristat/) on AFNI data in Matlab.
