AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Bob,
Many people estimate volume from the midsag x-section, but I plan to try to calculate actual volume. I'm sure I'll have to make some determination as to how I define the CC relative to white-matter bundles of the left/right hemis. Not sure exactly how just yet.

I like your idea of making my own CC atlas. I think I can figure that out. Eventually, I'll want the volumes in Talairach space because I've got children and adults in the data set and need a normalized space to compare. Can I just use the CC average atlas to start drawing in Talairach without reverse warping to +orig? Or is it best to calculate in +orig, then transform to Talairach for volume comparison?

Thanks loads.
