AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

I run AFNI on a linux box at work, but sometimes I remotely log in from home on my Mac powerbook running OS 10.2 and X11 and work with AFNI remotely through this interface (so I don't have to store the huge datafiles on my laptop!)

In general, this works fairly well, but with one annoying problem that might be fixable. When I accidentally click on that one blank square area of the AFNI console where no buttons are, I am rewarded with a little mug shot and the daily claim to fame of the day. While I am sure this "feature" is good for my soul in some way, this window doesn't have a top button bar in the mac X11 environment, so there is no way to close it. Can this bug be fixed, or can I somehow disable the opening of this window? I appeal to the benevolence of the great Zorkon...
