AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello! I have some scanning sessions from a Siemens Trio scanner that each include two volumes:

(1) high-resolution anatomicals
(2) functional data taken with oblique slices

As recommended in the FAQ, I'd like to rotate/translate (1) to match (2) so they can be viewed together in AFNI.

I've managed to get the correct rotation angle from the DICOM headers and have passed it to 3drotate. The resulting rotated-anatomical volume does appear to have the correct rotation, but the translation is significantly off. I'm wondering if this might be because volumes (1) and (2) have different centers. I've tried translating (1) before rotation and then translating it back afterwards, but so far without success.

Any ideas on how to align these volumes? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
-Brendan
