AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello, I ran the 3dDeconvolve with 2 stimuli, stimulus A and stimulus B, in my regression model and my output gives me t-values and partial F values for the respective stimulus parameters. I have no lags in my model, so my question is whether there is a difference between the t-value for stimulus A and the partial F value for stimulus A. The same question applies for stimulus B. What do the t-values and partial F values for the stimulus parameters indicate?

Also, when I do a GLT/t-test magnitude contrast between stimulus A and stimulus B regression parameters, my output gives me a t value and an F-value for each voxel. What does the GLT contrast F-value indicate if I'm running a t-test? Is it comparable to the resulting t-value? Any help would greatly be appreciated.
