AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Ziaad,
thanks for the note. Yes, what you say is correct. Calculate gradients of eccentricity and polar angle along the surface, calculate fields sign at each node and detect field sign flips. At least, this is one way. There are many applications of this. One may want to know whether some effects include V1 or not, for instance. Or one may want some relative measures of the aera of V1 vs V2 vs V3 in each subject. I'll look into what is already available within AFNI/SUMA, as you suggested, and get back to you with some ideas (or some more questions :). Ziad S. Saad wrote:
