AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

The Clinical Biochemistry Lab of the University of Pisa and the MRI Lab of the National Council of Research (C.N.R.) organize the FMRI analysis with AFNI and SUMA course ** The course is scheduled in Pisa (Italy) for 25-29 September, 2004 **. This is a course designed to teach participants the details of volume- and surface-based FMRI analysis using AFNI and SUMA software.
The program is a 5-Day intensive workshop, that includes lectures on pre- and post processing of FMRI data (image registration, intra- and inter-subject statistical analysis with linear regression, deconvolution, ANOVA) hands on sessions (covering statistical analysis, ROI drawing, volume rendering, surface mapping, etc.), and seminars on the basic principles of FMRI physics and experiment design.
Drs. Robert W. Cox and Peggy C. Christidis, from the Scientific and Statistical Computing Core of the NIMH Intramural Research Program, will be conducting the workshop.
Classes will held at the C.N.R. Research Campus in Pisa and are open to participants from all countries. Participants will be grouped in pairs and provided with a computer setup with the necessary material.
Participants in the previous two workshops have found this format highly beneficial, allowing them to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge crucial for designing and processing their FMRI experiments. The classes will be limited to 30 participants.
For more information about registration, accommodation, course program, please send an e-mail to: afni.pisa2004@tiscali.it (Emiliano Ricciardi) or nicvanel@ifc.cnr.it (Nicola Vanello)
