AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Another option is to use the plugin: Maxima.

After selecting the dataset and sub-brick, and
then probably setting a threshold that is close
to your maximum value, you can run it. It will
dump RAI coordinates of the extrema to your
terminal window, along with the corresponding
dataset values.

You can then right-click on an image, and
"jump-to-xyz", entering the coordinates that
were output to the terminal.

There is also the option of providing a prefix.
If you do that, it will create a dataset with
spheres centered at the extrema surviving your
threshold (though that may not be something you
care for).

That plugin is very old, and may have some, um,
issues.... :)
