AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi,

We have just run a surface-based cross-subject analysis, and now need to create figures for an upcoming poster presentation. To do this, we are trying to display our results file onto the Colin's brain surface downloaded from your site. However, we've been unable to do this since the number and location of nodes in Colin's brain does not match that of our results files.

The results file was created by running an ANOVA on a group of subjects in standard mesh (ld 141), and is a 1D.dset file containing node indices in the first column, followed by result values in all the remaining columns. Colin's brain is a set of .asc surface files with x, y, & z coordinates in the first three columns, and then a fourth column that's all 0's. As I understand it, it's in talairach space but isn't a standard mesh, and it doesn't include a registered sphere.

Do you know what steps I would need to take to enable these results to be displayed on Colin's brain? We had been wondering if this could somehow be accomplished with ConvertSurface, for example.

Thanks,

-Aaron-
