Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Some changes to AFNI are being posted now -- source code available now, binaries will be ready in 1.5-2 hours (or less, depending). This version does not have a new 'version number', mostly because I don't feel like assigning one.

Changes that I recall are

- new version of 3dSkullStrip (from Ziad)
- AFNI_EDGIZE_OVERLAY
- new '-Dname=value' switch for the afni program, to set environment variables
- mean(), stdev(), and sem() functions for 3dcalc
- speedup for 3dDeconvolve on some platforms

and no doubt some other stuff.
