AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Giuseppe,

I do not see such a problem.

The alternative to Dicom coordinates is to display coordinates in
the orientation of the dataset. If you are always seeing Dicom
coordinates, then the datasets you are working on are probably
in RAI (or Dicom) orientation. In that case, the coordinate order
would be the same for the two choices.

If you run 3dinfo on your dataset and search for (or grep for)
'orient', it will probably show RAI. If you are working with datasets
in Talairach View, then they will all probably be RAI.

Also, note that the only possible differences between Dicom
coordinates and the "natural" dataset coordinates are the signs
on the numbers and the order of them.
