AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

History of AFNI updates

Dear afni experts,
Our lab used free surfer to skull strip our anatomical data. Prior to a recent upgrade, we then typed
@SUMA_Make_Spec_FS -sid "SubjID_SUMA"
to bring these files to Suma with no difficulty. With the update, however, suma is only able to find two surfaces and gives us this message when we go to verify that datasets are aligned properly:

Warning SUMA_Make_Edge_List_eng:
Min/Max number of edge hosting triangles: [2/4]
Warning SUMA_Make_Edge_List_eng:
You have edges that belong to more than two triangles.
Bad for analysis assuming surface is a 2-manifold.
Error SUMA_Build_FirstNeighb:
Failed in copying neighbor list! jj=6, FN->N_Neighb[65892]=10
If this is a closed surface, the problem is likely due to a
tessellation error. One or more edges may not be part of 2
and only 2 triangles. Neighbor list for node 65892 will not be
ordered as connected vertices.
Further occurences of this error will not be reported.
10 similar occurences of the error above were found in this mesh.

It does this for all brains recently reconned, and only makes 6 of the required .asc files. Is there any way to fix this problem? All help would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Mariko
