I have added a program to test OpenGL and motif independently of SUMA.
The program, SUMA_paperplane, is almost identical to Mark J. Kilgard's paperplane program (had to change two of the #include statements).
If SUMA_paperplane crashes on your system then there is something wrong with your Motif/OpenGL libraries and headers on your system.
