I'm interested in that feature because it's a convenient tool to put markers on the brain surface. While our team was talking about experimental data (for an epidural cortical electrode placement study), and viewing it in 3d with Suma, turning it back and forth, we wanted to "annotate" surface putting markers on it in the 3d view. It seemed easier than going through the data on a slice by slice basis in the planar view.
