AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Greetings SPM people,

Sometimes, even after reslicing your ANALYZE files, to apply whatever transform lurks in the heart of the .mat files, your SPM datasets still do not overlap properly in AFNI.
This you should know:
1- Get the latest version!
2- Set the following environment variables in your .afnirc file . Those parameters should work for SPM2 and newer versions. Experiment with them for other versions.
AFNI_ANALYZE_VIEW = orig
AFNI_ANALYZE_ORIENT = LPI
AFNI_ANALYZE_ORIGINATOR = YES

The first one sets the view in afni. Options are orig or tlrc.
The second one sets the orientation, LPI is good for SPM2
The third one tells afni to use the origin information in the .hdr file.
