AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello AFNI Experts,

I have a small question about the statistics reported for GLT's using 3dDeconvolve.

We are running the GLT's using 3dDeconvolve. The GLT input file has only one row in it (only one linear contrast). Then when we compare the F-statistic and t-statistic of the GLT in many voxels, the square root of the F-statistic value is not exactly the t-statistic value for that voxel. Actually this is the case when we run the 3dDeconvolve with '-xrestore' option and for the very first GLT in which it calculates the X matrix, there is no such discrepancy.

Can someone clarify this.

Thanks,
Srikanth.
