We are seeking an energetic individual to participate in our brain imaging research program. This successful candidate will have a high level of commitment and attention to detail, excellent communication, and technical skills. Under the general supervision of the Director of the Laboratory of Molecular Neuroimaging at UCLA, he or she will carry out the following duties:
Perform image analysis: image reconstruction, pre-processing of PET and structural MRI images, co-registration, region drawing, generating time-activity data, kinetic modeling, and visualization of images. Maintain archives of image data and analysis results. Maintain file and applications servers. Participate in preparation of manuscripts for publication.

Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree with a major in biomedical engineering, physics/medical, physics/biophysics, computer science, a biological science, psychology or other relevant program.
2. Strong skills in computer applications, mathematics.
3. Ability to install and learn any new image processing software.


Preferred, but not required:
1. Strong programming skills (esp. in Matlab) and fluency in Linux operating system.
2. Knowledge of or in interest in brain function.
