AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi all!
I was going through the HowTo03 tutorial:

[afni.nimh.nih.gov]

and I came to the part with 3dDeconvolve and contrasts. I understand the concept of contrasts (to compare stimX to stimY, activation-wise) as described here, but nowhere in the help file does it describe how to work with the contrast files - do I need to create them? get them somewhere?

The tutorial does say:

"Contrast files are needed to do general linear tests (GLTs). In our example, we have three contrast files located in a directory called 'contrasts'. Each contrast file consists of a matrix of 0's, 1's, and -1's."

How do I get/make these contrast files?

Thanks in advance!
-Dmitry
