AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

AFNI-L doesn't get all the posts that are made on the message board. I only read AFNI-L because it is delivered as mail.

to3d doesn't properly complain when refusing to overwrite a file.
Line 356 of to3d.c:
all_good = T3D_check_data( False ) ;
The False flag means don't print any error messages. But if the file that is to be created already exists, all_good is set to False, so T3D_save_file_CB() is never called, which, incidentally would have produced the error message because it calls T3D_check_data( True ), and the result is that the X window pops up, and the hapless user has no clue what went wrong. Perhaps you could change this behavior.

It would be nice if to3d had a -f flag (for force) that meant "it's OK if the file already exists, I want to overwrite it."
