LSUHSC-S Dept of Psychiatry, Laboratory of Biological Psychiatry, is seeking a post-doctoral fellow interested in functional neuroimaging research. Current topics of interest are cognitive neuroscience studies in normal populations, currently focusing on fMRI evaluation of cerebellar involvement in cognition. We also are investigating the role of PET in early detection of Alzheimer's dementia. Candidates interested in these or other topics are welcome to apply. Resources available include magnet time on a 1.5T GE Signa MR system equipped with Integrated Functional Imaging System (IFIS) hardware and E-Prime cognitive paradigm software, a laboratory equipped with an MRI simulator and motion-tracking software for training (also has IFIS/Eprime system), workstations equipped with Matlab, SPM, AFNI, SUMA, and Brain Voyager.
