This is running on a cluster node of a G5 Xserver. 3 GB of RAM-plenty to do the trick.

running export AFNI_TRACE=YES does not affected any change, unfortunately.

sgifford$ export AFNI_TRACE=YES
sgifford$ 3dTstat -prefix test EP_4+orig
Segmentation fault

How else can I provide you gents with more information? I have tried to post up a couple of brik files, but the pages hang or ultimately crash.
