AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

I too had the same issue on my system and tried to use the xorg7 package instead. No luck, actually I've tried all Linux packages and a few of the different Makefiles for compiling my own and keep running into library problems. I get the following error:

/abin/afni: /lib/tls/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by /abin/afni)

Following a previous post on the board, I check out my GLIBC and tried the following:

1)# strings /lib/tls/libc.so.6 | grep GLIBC
GLIBC_2.0
GLIBC_2.1
GLIBC_2.1.1
GLIBC_2.1.2
GLIBC_2.1.3
GLIBC_2.2
GLIBC_2.2.1
GLIBC_2.2.2
GLIBC_2.2.3
GLIBC_2.2.4
GLIBC_2.2.6
GLIBC_2.3
GLIBC_2.3.2
GLIBC_2.3.3
GLIBC_2.3.4
GLIBC_PRIVATE

so then...:

urpmi ./glibc2.4.xxxx-i386.rpm
unable to access rpm file [./glibc2.4.xxxx-i386.rpm]
error registering local packages

It seems I don't have the correct GLIBC update but I also can't seem to actually get it.

I believe I'm working with KDE 2005 limited edition.

Ideas?

Many thanks,
Melissa
