AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear AFNI community,

I'm doing a simple procedure and getting funky results.

I want to apply a single structure mask (ones where the structure is and zeros everywhere else) to a single subject's statistical data resulting from a contrast using 3dDeconvolve (output has six bricks, the brick of interest has t-test values).

So I type:

3dcalc -datum float -a mask+tlrc -b subject_contrast+tlrc -expr 'a*b' -prefix masked_subject_contrast

Following this, I would expect, provided both that the cursor was at a set location within my mask and that I have selected the proper sub-bricks, that the value for Overlay in the AFNI window should be the same for both subject_contrast+tlrc and masked_subject_contrast+tlrc. This is not the case, however. I've run this same procedure successfully with a mask and *group-level output* from 3dttest. Is there something different in the data structure in 3dDeconvolve output that I'm not getting? Happy to attach data as needed.

Please pardon any foolishness in the present inquiry.

Best,

Paul
