AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear AFNI minds,

I would like to obtain a quick snapshot of voxelwise BOLD signal collected in a continuous 15 minute scan with a 2 s TR (i.e. 450 timepoints in the 3d+time dataset). I would like to simply create a "binned" dataset where data are binned in (averaged across successive) 12 s (6 reps) increments. This would effectively reduce the time series from 450 points on the horizontal axis down to 75 points, for a more lucid quick look in a graph.

I know you can use 3dCalc to just average across a whole dataset, but I do not know the expression to average across every 6 volumes and concatenate these successive averages.

Thanks in advance,

Jim
