AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Phoebe,

It's odd that you get that "TrueColor visual" error from suma,
but have no similar problem with afni. You might be able to
set TrueColor in some Display configuration...

In any case, there appear to be 2 problems. One is that you
don't have accelerated drivers installed. The other is that suma
should work even without them, though slowly (software rendering,
instead of hardware rendering), except that you are getting the
TrueColor error.

Properly installing video drivers would probably correct both
problems, but it can be non-trivial, depending.

Do you know anything about this? If not, do you have a system
administrator who does?

What video card are you using?
