Gang:
We are seeing afni (GUI) and to3D both failing to get wildcard lists of files.
Details:
Afni distribution of 2006-12-06, running on Centos 5 (also tried other machines running Centos 4 and Red Hat ancient, same results).
1. afni GUI:
cd to directory containing afni volumes. Launch afni, no args. Message says
"Couldn't open [dir] as session or dataset".
This fails for dirs located on our file server, which is:
-- accessed via NFS
-- is a Mac XServe, updated three days ago from OS-X 10.3.9 to 10.5, and is probably the salient change.
What succeeds is:
a: ls listing of directory involved, OR
b. Run afni with arg to specify volume to load explicitly (on server). OR
c: cd to local dir with afni vols, and launch afni with no args.
2. to3D fails for input files on server when given wildcard arg.
All of this worked pre upgrade of OS-X
-----------------
So, it looks liks something has changed such that MCW_file_expand no longer finds anything, even though the files are there and afni can retrieve them, and ls can see them. I've not yet probed into that function enough to understand what it's doing, so currently I'm a little stuck.
Any clues or suggestions for further testing or logs to check?
Thanks, Graham
