AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Good morning,

We are using @auto_tlrc on a new data set (including the skull stripping). This is the first time we have used the automated method. When I look at the skull-stripped T1, it looks pretty good, but not perfect. Usually there is very slight clipping along the superior edges of the brain, and sometimes skull left along posterior edges. I've tried a couple of things to improve the skull stripping (based on reading other posts) but I haven't been able to get anything much better than what I currently have. So I have two questions. First, do you have suggestions for improving the skull stripping? Second, should I be concerned about the talairaching procedure given that the skull-stripping is not perfect?

Thanks in advance for your help!
