AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello AFNI experts,

I'm running a simple correlation analysis according to Gang's page. After running 3dSynthesize and isolating my EPI data I took a look at my seed time series. I was surprised to see the stitches for my run time points still there (see "seed_timeseries" attachment). I then plotted my raw data and the effects of no interest that I isolated with 3dSynthesize on the same graph using 1dplot, and saw that there was a scaling issue there (see "rawdata_effectsofnointerest" attachment). It appears that I need to increase my effects of no interest by 15% in order for it to match my raw data (see "rawdata_effofNoInterstx15%" attachment).

1deval -a Deconv1_prob_PEorthog2Prob_LftHipp_EffectsOfNoInterest_seed.1D -expr "a*1.155" > no_interest2.1D

Why is this the case?

Thanks,
Aaron
